Espresso Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Espresso Machine
Start by turning on your espresso machine to allow it to heat up. Make sure to fill the water reservoir with filtered water.
- 2
Grind the Coffee
Use a coffee grinder to grind the espresso coffee beans to a fine consistency. Measure out 18 grams of coffee grounds.
- 3
Tamp the Coffee
Place the coffee grounds into the portafilter and use a tamper to press down evenly, creating a smooth, even surface.
- 4
Brew the Espresso
Lock the portafilter into the espresso machine and start the brewing process. The espresso should take about 25-30 seconds to extract.
- 5
Serve
Once brewed, serve the espresso shot immediately in a small cup and enjoy your freshly made espresso.
