Cream Butter and Sugar
In a mixing bowl, beat together 0.5 cups of softened unsalted butter and 2 cups of powdered sugar until creamy and smooth.

Add Flavoring and Color
Mix in 2 tsp of vanilla extract and 2 tbsp of milk. If desired, add a few drops of green food coloring to achieve a pastel shade.
