Method

Fruit Filling

1

Prepare the Fruit

In a large mixing bowl, combine the mixed seasonal fruits. Add the granulated sugar, lemon juice, and cinnamon. Toss gently until the fruits are well coated. Let it sit for about 10 minutes to allow the sugar to draw out the juices from the fruits.

2

Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Slump Topping

3

Mix the Dry Ingredients

In another large bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking powder, salt, and granulated sugar. Whisk together until well combined.

4

Add Wet Ingredients

Pour in the melted butter and milk into the dry ingredients. Stir until just combined; do not overmix.

5

Assemble the Slump

Spread the prepared fruit filling evenly in a greased baking dish. Drop spoonfuls of the batter over the fruit filling, covering it as much as possible.

6

Bake

Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the topping comes out clean.

Serving

7

Serve Warm

Remove the slump from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top.
