Method

Steak Preparation

  1. 1

    Season the Steak

Generously season both sides of the ribeye steaks with salt and black pepper.

  2. 2

    Sear the Steak

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the ribeye steaks and sear for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness.

  3. 3

    Add Rosemary

In the last minute of cooking, add a sprig of fresh rosemary to the skillet for flavor.

  4. 4

    Rest the Steak

Remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

French Fries Preparation

  1. 5

    Prepare Potatoes

Wash and peel the russet potatoes. Cut them into thin strips to form fries.

  2. 6

    Soak Potatoes

Soak the cut potatoes in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch. Drain and pat dry.

  3. 7

    Heat Oil

In a deep fryer or large pot, heat vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).

  4. 8

    Fry Potatoes

Carefully add the dried potato strips to the hot oil in batches. Fry until golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels.

  5. 9

    Season Fries

Immediately sprinkle with salt to taste while the fries are still hot.

Garlic Butter Preparation

  1. 10

    Melt Butter

In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the unsalted butter.

  2. 11

    Add Garlic

Mince the garlic cloves and add them to the melted butter. Cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn.

  3. 12

    Finishing Touches

Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the chopped fresh parsley and lemon juice.
