Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Glass

Start by rimming your glass with salt. To do this, take a lime wedge and run it around the rim of the glass. Then, dip the rim into a plate of salt to coat it evenly.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Cucumber and Jalapeño

Slice the cucumber into chunks and remove the seeds from the jalapeño if you prefer a milder drink. If you like it spicy, you can keep some seeds in. Cut the jalapeño into small pieces.

Mixing the Cocktail

  1. 3

    Blend Ingredients

In a cocktail shaker, combine the cucumber chunks, jalapeño pieces, tequila, Cointreau, agave syrup, and fresh lime juice.

  2. 4

    Muddle and Shake

Using a muddler or the back of a spoon, muddle the cucumber and jalapeño to release their juices. Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds.

  3. 5

    Strain

Strain the mixture into the prepared glass, filled with ice if desired.

Garnishing

  1. 6

    Garnish the Drink

Garnish with a lime wedge and a cucumber slice. If desired, sprinkle some fresh cilantro on top for an added flavor.
