Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Edamame

Rinse the edamame pods under cold water to remove any dirt or impurities.

  2. 2

    Boil Water

In a large pot, bring about 4 cups of water to a rolling boil over high heat.

  3. 3

    Steam the Edamame

Once the water is boiling, add the rinsed edamame pods to the pot. Cover and steam for 5-6 minutes until the pods turn bright green and are tender but still slightly firm.

  4. 4

    Drain the Edamame

Carefully drain the edamame in a colander to remove excess water.

  5. 5

    Sprinkle with Salt

Transfer the drained edamame to a serving bowl and sprinkle with salt. Toss to evenly coat the pods.
