Prepare the Edamame
Rinse the edamame pods under cold water to remove any dirt or impurities.

Boil Water
In a large pot, bring about 4 cups of water to a rolling boil over high heat.

Steam the Edamame
Once the water is boiling, add the rinsed edamame pods to the pot. Cover and steam for 5-6 minutes until the pods turn bright green and are tender but still slightly firm.

Drain the Edamame
Carefully drain the edamame in a colander to remove excess water.

Sprinkle with Salt
Transfer the drained edamame to a serving bowl and sprinkle with salt. Toss to evenly coat the pods.
