Tea Preparation
Method
Tea Preparation Steps
- 1
Boil Water
In a medium saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a rolling boil over medium-high heat.
- 2
Steep Tea
Once the water is boiling, remove it from heat and add 2 black tea bags. Let them steep for about 5 minutes, depending on your desired strength.
- 3
Prepare Mango
While the tea is steeping, peel and chop the mango into small cubes. If using frozen mango, allow it to thaw slightly.
- 4
Mix Ingredients
After the tea has steeped, remove the tea bags and stir in 2 tablespoons of honey or sugar until dissolved. Add the chopped mango and 1 tablespoon of lemon juice.
- 5
Blend (Optional)
For a smoother consistency, you can blend the tea mixture until smooth. If you prefer a chunkier texture, you can skip this step.
- 6
Chill or Serve Warm
You can serve the mango tea warm or chill it in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes for a refreshing iced tea. If serving chilled, serve in glasses over ice.
- 7
Garnish
Garnish each serving with fresh mint leaves if desired.
