Dough Preparation
Combine Dry Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, salt, sugar, and active dry yeast. Mix well to evenly distribute the ingredients.
Add Wet Ingredients
Add warm water and olive oil to the dry mixture. Stir until a rough dough forms.
Knead the Dough
Transfer the dough to a floured surface. Knead for about 8-10 minutes until the dough becomes smooth and elastic.
Let the Dough Rise
Place the kneaded dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until it doubles in size.
Filling Preparation
Prepare the Filling
In a medium bowl, mix together the cream cheese, chopped chives, black pepper, and garlic powder until smooth and well combined.
Assembly and Baking
Preheat Oven
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Roll Out Dough
Once the dough has risen, punch it down and turn it out onto a floured surface. Roll it into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick.
Add Filling
Spread the cream cheese filling evenly over the dough rectangle, leaving about a 1-inch border around the edges.
Roll and Seal
Starting from one end, carefully roll the dough into a log shape. Pinch the seams to seal the roll securely.
Cut into Pieces
Slice the rolled dough into 1-inch thick pieces and place them on a greased baking sheet.
Add Topping
Brush the tops of the pieces with beaten egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
Bake
Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
Cool and Serve
Allow to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy your Bag Fee!
