Method

Brewing the Tea

  1. 1

    Boil Water

In a kettle, bring 1 cup of fresh water to a boil. Ensure that the water reaches at least 175°F (80°C) for optimal green tea brewing.

  2. 2

    Add Tea Leaves

Once the water is boiled, remove it from heat and let it cool for about 1-2 minutes. Then, add 2 teaspoons of green tea leaves directly into the hot water.

  3. 3

    Steep the Tea

Cover the kettle or cup and let the tea steep for 2-3 minutes. This allows the flavors and nutrients to infuse into the water.

  4. 4

    Strain the Tea

After steeping, use a fine mesh strainer to remove the tea leaves from the liquid. Pour the brewed tea into a cup.

Adding Optional Ingredients

  1. 5

    Sweeten the Tea

If desired, stir in 1 teaspoon of honey to sweeten your green tea. Adjust the quantity to taste.

  2. 6

    Garnish

Add a slice of lemon to the cup for a refreshing citrus flavor, if desired.
