Iced Tea Preparation

Brew the Tea
Bring 8 cups of water to a boil in a large pot. Remove from heat and add the tea bags. For black tea, steep for 5 minutes; for hibiscus, steep for 10 minutes.

Sweeten (Optional)
If you prefer sweetened iced tea, add 1 cup of sugar to the hot tea and stir until dissolved.

Cool the Tea
Remove the tea bags and let the tea cool to room temperature, then refrigerate until chilled, about 1-2 hours.

Serve
Fill glasses with ice cubes, pour the chilled tea over the ice, and garnish with lemon slices and mint leaves if desired.
