Method

Cooking the Steak

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Rub the flat iron steak with olive oil, then season with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder on both sides.

  2. 2

    Sear the Steak

Heat a skillet over high heat. Once hot, add the steak and sear for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare or until desired doneness.

  3. 3

    Rest the Steak

Remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

Herb Roasted Potatoes

  1. 4

    Prepare Potatoes

Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). In a bowl, toss the baby potatoes with olive oil, rosemary, thyme, salt, and black pepper.

  2. 5

    Roast Potatoes

Spread the potatoes on a baking sheet and roast for 25-30 minutes, or until golden and tender.

Asparagus

  1. 6

    Prepare Asparagus

In a bowl, toss the asparagus with olive oil, salt, and black pepper.

  2. 7

    Blanch Asparagus

Add the asparagus to the boiling water for 2-3 minutes, then transfer to an ice bath to stop cooking.

Fire-Roasted Tomatoes

  1. 8

    Heat Tomatoes

In a saucepan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.

  2. 9

    Combine Ingredients

Add the canned fire-roasted diced tomatoes, salt, and black pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
