Crust Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Biscuit Crust
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Open the can of biscuits and flatten each biscuit into a round shape. Press the flattened biscuits into the bottom and up the sides of a greased 9-inch pie dish to form a crust.
Filling Preparation
- 2
Cook the Sausage
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the breakfast sausage until browned and fully cooked. Break it apart into small pieces as it cooks. Once done, remove from heat and set aside.
- 3
Sauté Vegetables
In the same skillet, add chopped red bell pepper and purple onion. Sauté until they are softened, about 5-7 minutes.
- 4
Mix Filling Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and black pepper. Stir in the cooked sausage, sautéed vegetables, white cheddar cheese, and chopped green chiles until well combined.
Assemble and Bake
- 5
Combine and Bake
Pour the filling mixture into the prepared biscuit crust. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the quiche is set and lightly golden on top.
- 6
Cool and Slice
Once baked, remove the quiche from the oven and allow it to cool for about 10 minutes before slicing into wedges.
Salad Preparation
- 7
Prepare the Salad
In a large bowl, combine mesclun salad greens, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt, and black pepper. Toss gently to coat the greens evenly.
