Method
Prepare the Dough
- 1
Mix Ingredients
In a large bowl, combine the active sourdough starter, all-purpose flour, water, and salt. Stir until a shaggy dough forms.
- 2
Knead the Dough
Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 8-10 minutes, until smooth and elastic.
- 3
First Rise
Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise at room temperature for about 4-6 hours, or until doubled in size.
Shape and Bake
- 4
Prepare the Baking Tray
Grease a baking tray (about 9x13 inches) with olive oil.
- 5
Transfer Dough
Once the dough has risen, gently punch it down and transfer it to the prepared baking tray. Stretch it out to fill the tray.
- 6
Second Rise
Cover the tray with a cloth and let the dough rise again for about 1-2 hours.
- 7
Add Toppings
Preheat the oven to 220°C (430°F). In a small bowl, mix the minced garlic, chopped rosemary, and sea salt. Drizzle olive oil over the risen dough, then sprinkle the garlic-rosemary mixture on top.
- 8
Bake
Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown on top.
Prepare Honey Butter
- 9
Mix Honey Butter
In a small bowl, combine softened butter, honey, and a pinch of sea salt. Mix until smooth and well combined.
