Main Ingredients

Horseradish Aioli

Method

Pot Roast Preparation

  1. 1

    Searing the Beef

Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium-high heat. Season the beef roast with salt and black pepper. Sear the roast on all sides until browned, about 4-5 minutes per side.

  2. 2

    Caramelizing Onions

Remove the beef from the pot and set aside. In the same pot, add sliced onions and cook over medium heat until caramelized, about 10-15 minutes. Add minced garlic and cook for another minute.

  3. 3

    Braising the Beef

Return the beef to the pot. Add beef broth and Worcestershire sauce. Bring to a simmer, cover, and reduce heat to low. Cook for 3-4 hours until the beef is tender and easily shreds.

Horseradish Aioli Preparation

  1. 4

    Making the Aioli

In a bowl, combine mayonnaise, horseradish, lemon juice, and garlic powder. Mix well and refrigerate until ready to use.

Serving

  1. 5

    Assembling the Dip

Once the beef is cooked, shred it with two forks. Slice the French bread or baguette and toast lightly. Layer shredded beef on the bread, drizzle with horseradish aioli, and top with parmesan cheese. Serve with au jus for dipping.
