Chicken Preparation

Marinate the Chicken
In a bowl, combine buttermilk, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper. Add chicken thighs and marinate for at least 1 hour or overnight in the refrigerator.

Fry the Chicken
Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Remove chicken from buttermilk, dredge in flour, and fry in batches for about 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Drain on paper towels.

Make Hot Sauce
In a saucepan, combine hot sauce, cayenne pepper, brown sugar, and butter. Heat over medium heat until the butter melts and everything is well mixed. Remove from heat.
Slaw Preparation

Prepare the Slaw
In a mixing bowl, combine shredded cabbage, grated carrot, julienned apple, mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, salt, and pepper. Mix well and let sit for 15 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
Assembly

Assemble the Sliders
Slice slider buns in half. Place a piece of fried chicken on the bottom half of each bun. Drizzle with hot sauce, add a layer of slaw, and top with pickles. Place the top half of the bun and serve immediately.
