Main Ingredients

Black Garlic Vinaigrette

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the Black Rice

In a pot, combine 1 cup of black rice with 2 cups of water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 30-35 minutes, or until the rice is tender and the water is absorbed. Fluff with a fork and set aside.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Black Garlic Vinaigrette

In a bowl, mash the black garlic cloves. Whisk in olive oil, balsamic vinegar, honey, salt, and black pepper until well combined. Set aside.

Grilling

  1. 3

    Grill the Corn and Asparagus

Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Brush the corn and asparagus with olive oil and season with salt and pepper. Grill the corn for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until charred. Grill the asparagus for 5-7 minutes, until tender and slightly charred.

  2. 4

    Grill the Steak

Season the grass-fed beef steaks with salt and pepper. Grill the steaks for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until your desired doneness. Let the steaks rest for a few minutes before slicing.

Assembly

  1. 5

    Plate the Dish

On each plate, serve a portion of black rice, topped with sliced steak. Arrange the grilled corn, asparagus, and sweety drop peppers around the steak. Drizzle the black garlic vinaigrette over the top and serve immediately.
