Grilled Onions

House Sauce

Method

Preparing the Grilled Onions

  1. 1

    Slice the Onion

Peel and slice the onion into thin rings.

  2. 2

    Heat Oil

In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.

  3. 3

    Cook Onions

Add the sliced onions to the skillet and cook until they are soft and caramelized, about 10-15 minutes.

Making the House Sauce

  1. 4

    Mix Sauce Ingredients

In a bowl, combine mayonnaise, ketchup, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.

  2. 5

    Adjust Seasoning

Whisk until all ingredients are well combined. Adjust seasoning if necessary.

Cooking the Burgers

  1. 6

    Preheat Grill

Heat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.

  2. 7

    Form Patties

Form the ground beef into 4 patties, making a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent puffing.

  3. 8

    Season Patties

Season each patty with salt and pepper on both sides.

  4. 9

    Cook First Side

Place the patties on the hot grill and cook for about 3-4 minutes on one side.

  5. 10

    Cook Second Side

Flip the patties, place a slice of Cooper Sharp American cheese on each patty, and cook for another 3-4 minutes until the cheese is melted and the burger is cooked to your desired doneness.

Assembling the Burger

  1. 11

    Toast Buns

Toast the brioche buns on the grill until golden brown.

  2. 12

    Add Sauce

Spread a generous amount of house sauce on the bottom bun.

  3. 13

    Add Patty

Add the cooked burger patty with melted cheese on top of the sauce.

  4. 14

    Add Toppings

Top the burger with grilled onions, pickles, and lettuce.

  5. 15

    Finish Burger

Place the top bun on the burger and serve immediately.
