Preparing the Grilled Onions

Slice the Onion
Peel and slice the onion into thin rings.

Mix Sauce Ingredients
In a bowl, combine mayonnaise, ketchup, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.

Adjust Seasoning
Whisk until all ingredients are well combined. Adjust seasoning if necessary.
Cooking the Burgers

Preheat Grill
Heat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.

Form Patties
Form the ground beef into 4 patties, making a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent puffing.

Season each patty with salt and pepper on both sides.

Place the patties on the hot grill and cook for about 3-4 minutes on one side.

Flip the patties, place a slice of Cooper Sharp American cheese on each patty, and cook for another 3-4 minutes until the cheese is melted and the burger is cooked to your desired doneness.
Assembling the Burger

Toast the brioche buns on the grill until golden brown.

Spread a generous amount of house sauce on the bottom bun.
