Method

Prepare the Seafood

  1. 1

    Cook the Mussels and Clams

In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Add the cleaned mussels and clams. Cover and steam for about 5-7 minutes, or until they open. Discard any that do not open. Remove from heat and set aside.

  2. 2

    Cook the Shrimp

In a skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add the shrimp and cook until pink and opaque, about 3-4 minutes. Remove from skillet and set aside.

Prepare the Pasta

  1. 3

    Cook the Linguine

In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add linguine and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving some pasta water.

Make the Sauce

  1. 4

    Prepare the Cream Sauce

In the same skillet used for the shrimp, add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil. Sauté the minced garlic over medium heat for about 1 minute until fragrant. Add the heavy cream, salt, and pepper, stirring to combine. Allow to simmer for 2-3 minutes.

  2. 5

    Add Cheese and Seafood

Gradually stir in the grated Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese until melted and smooth. Add the cooked shrimp, mussels, and clams to the sauce. Mix well and simmer for another 2 minutes. If the sauce is too thick, add reserved pasta water a little at a time until desired consistency is reached.

Combine and Serve

  1. 6

    Combine Pasta and Sauce

Add the cooked linguine to the sauce, tossing to coat evenly. Stir in chopped parsley and mix well.

  2. 7

    Prepare Garlic Toast

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). In a bowl, mix softened butter and garlic powder. Spread the mixture on the sliced baguette and place on a baking sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes until golden and crispy.

  3. 8

    Serve

Plate the seafood linguine and serve with garlic toast on the side. Garnish with additional parsley if desired.
