Prepare the Seafood

Cook the Mussels and Clams
In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Add the cleaned mussels and clams. Cover and steam for about 5-7 minutes, or until they open. Discard any that do not open. Remove from heat and set aside.
- 2
Cook the Shrimp
In a skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add the shrimp and cook until pink and opaque, about 3-4 minutes. Remove from skillet and set aside.

Prepare the Cream Sauce
In the same skillet used for the shrimp, add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil. Sauté the minced garlic over medium heat for about 1 minute until fragrant. Add the heavy cream, salt, and pepper, stirring to combine. Allow to simmer for 2-3 minutes.

Add Cheese and Seafood
Gradually stir in the grated Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese until melted and smooth. Add the cooked shrimp, mussels, and clams to the sauce. Mix well and simmer for another 2 minutes. If the sauce is too thick, add reserved pasta water a little at a time until desired consistency is reached.
