Method

Prepare the Shrimp

  1. 1

    Sauté the Onions and Garlic

In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 1 tablespoon of butter. Add the diced sweet onions and sauté for about 3-4 minutes until they become translucent. Then, add the minced garlic and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

  2. 2

    Cook the Shrimp

Add the peeled and deveined shrimp to the skillet. Sprinkle the Old Bay seasoning over the shrimp. Cook for about 3-5 minutes, stirring frequently, until the shrimp turn pink and opaque.

Prepare the Toast

  1. 3

    Toast the Sourdough

While the shrimp is cooking, preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Spread the softened butter on one side of each sourdough slice. Place the slices butter-side up on a baking sheet.

  2. 4

    Bake the Toast

Bake in the preheated oven for about 5-7 minutes or until the bread is golden and crispy. Remove from the oven and sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley.

Serve

  1. 5

    Plate the Dish

Once the shrimp is cooked and the toast is ready, serve the shrimp mixture over the toasted sourdough. Enjoy warm!
