Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon slices until crispy, about 6-8 minutes. Once cooked, remove from the skillet and drain on paper towels. Once cool, crumble the bacon into small pieces.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Tater Tots

Preheat your oven according to the package instructions for the frozen tater tots. Spread the tater tots in a single layer on a baking sheet and bake for the recommended time until golden and crispy, usually about 20-25 minutes.

  3. 3

    Chop the Green Onions

While the tater tots are baking, wash the green onions and chop them finely, separating the green parts from the white parts.

Assembly

  1. 4

    Combine Tots with Toppings

Once the tater tots are done baking, remove them from the oven. Sprinkle the crumbled bacon evenly over the hot tater tots, followed by the shredded jack-cheddar cheese.

  2. 5

    Melt the Cheese

Return the loaded tater tots to the oven for an additional 5 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

  3. 6

    Garnish and Serve

Remove the loaded tots from the oven. Top with chopped green onions and drizzle sour cream over the top. Serve immediately while hot.
