Method
Chicken Marinade
- 1
Prepare the Marinade
In a large bowl, mix the buttermilk, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. This will be your marinade.
- 2
Marinate the Chicken
Add the chicken breasts to the buttermilk mixture, ensuring they are fully submerged. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best results.
Coating
- 3
Prepare the Coating
In a separate large bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, cornstarch, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to combine.
- 4
Dredge the Chicken
Remove the chicken from the marinade, allowing excess buttermilk to drip off. Dredge each piece in the flour mixture, pressing lightly to ensure an even coating.
Fried Chicken

- 6
Fry the Chicken
Carefully add the coated chicken breasts to the hot oil, ensuring not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for 5-7 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F/74°C).
- 7
Drain the Chicken
Remove the chicken from the oil and place on a wire rack or paper towels to drain any excess oil.
Sliders Assembly
- 8
Prepare the Sliders
Slice the slider buns in half. Place a piece of fried chicken on the bottom half of each bun.
- 9
Add Toppings
Top each piece of chicken with pickles and drizzle with hot honey. Place the top half of the bun over the toppings.
- 10
Serve
Serve the sliders warm with extra hot honey on the side for drizzling.
