Method

Preparing the Wings

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) to ensure the wings cook evenly.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Wings

In a large mixing bowl, combine the chicken wings with salt, black pepper, and baking powder. Toss well to coat all wings evenly.

  3. 3

    Arrange on Baking Sheet

Place the coated wings on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a silicone mat, ensuring they are spread out and not touching.

Making the Firecracker Sauce

  1. 4

    Combine Sauce Ingredients

In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine hot sauce, honey, soy sauce, garlic powder, ginger powder, and red pepper flakes. Stir well to mix.

  2. 5

    Simmer the Sauce

Allow the sauce to simmer for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally until it thickens slightly. Remove from heat.

Baking and Glazing the Wings

  1. 6

    Bake the Wings

Bake the wings in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, flipping them halfway through to ensure they become crispy on both sides.

  2. 7

    Glaze with Sauce

In the last 5 minutes of baking, remove the wings from the oven and brush them generously with the prepared firecracker sauce. Return to the oven to finish baking.

Serving the Wings

  1. 8

    Prepare the Garnish

    Chop the green onions finely.

  2. 9

    Serve Wings

Once the wings are done, remove them from the oven and let them cool for a couple of minutes. Serve hot, garnished with chopped green onions and sesame seeds on top.
