Method

Preparation of Cheese Mixture

  1. 1

    Soften the Cream Cheese

Take the cream cheese out of the refrigerator and let it sit at room temperature for about 15-20 minutes until softened.

  2. 2

    Mix the Cheeses

In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded white cheddar cheese, and shredded fontina cheese. Mix well until all the cheeses are fully blended together and smooth.

Making the Crab Dip

  1. 3

    Combine Crab and Corn

In a separate bowl, gently fold together the lump crab meat and corn. Be careful not to break up the crab meat too much.

  2. 4

    Season the Mixture

Add the Old Bay seasoning, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper to the crab and corn mixture. Stir gently to combine.

  3. 5

    Blend with Cheese Mixture

Add the crab mixture to the cheese mixture and fold gently until fully combined. Make sure all ingredients are well incorporated.

Baking and Serving

  1. 6

    Bake the Dip

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Transfer the crab dip mixture into a baking dish and spread it evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the dip is hot and bubbly on the edges.

  2. 7

    Serve

Remove the dip from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving. Serve warm with tortilla chips for dipping.
