Method

Preparing the Burger Patties

  1. 1

    Mixing Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix well using your hands until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.

  2. 2

    Shaping the Patties

Divide the mixture into 20 equal portions and shape each portion into a patty, about 3/4 inch thick.

  3. 3

    Chilling the Patties

Place the patties on a tray and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to help them hold their shape while cooking.

Cooking the Patties

  1. 4

    Preheating the Grill

Preheat your grill or stovetop grill pan over medium-high heat.

  2. 5

    Cooking the Patties

Place the chilled patties on the grill and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.

  3. 6

    Adding Cheese

During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty and close the grill lid to melt the cheese.

Assembling the Burgers

  1. 7

    Preparing the Buns

Toast the burger buns on the grill for about 1-2 minutes until lightly golden.

  2. 8

    Building the Burger

On the bottom half of each bun, place a cooked patty, followed by lettuce, tomato slices, pickles, and your choice of ketchup, mustard, and mayonnaise. Top with the other half of the bun.
