Method

Pickled Cucumber

  1. 1

    Prepare the Cucumber

Slice the cucumbers into thin rounds and place them in a clean glass jar.

  2. 2

    Make the Pickling Liquid

In a small saucepan, combine white vinegar, water, sugar, salt, black peppercorns, and crushed garlic cloves. Bring to a boil, stirring until the sugar and salt have dissolved.

  3. 3

    Pickle the Cucumbers

Pour the hot pickling liquid over the cucumbers in the jar. Add dill sprigs. Seal the jar and let it cool to room temperature. Refrigerate for at least 24 hours before using.

Watermelon Tomato Salad

  1. 4

    Prepare the Watermelon and Tomatoes

Cut the watermelon into bite-sized cubes and chop the Roma tomatoes into similar sizes.

  2. 5

    Toss the Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the watermelon, tomatoes, and fresh basil leaves.

  3. 6

    Dress the Salad

Drizzle olive oil and balsamic vinegar over the salad. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Toss gently to combine.

House Goat Cheese

  1. 7

    Prepare the Goat Cheese

In a small bowl, mix the goat cheese with honey, fresh thyme, and a pinch of salt and black pepper until well combined.

  2. 8

    Serve

Spoon the goat cheese mixture onto a serving platter or individual plates.
