Flatbread

Method

Flatbread Preparation

1

Make the Dough

In a large bowl, mix the all-purpose flour, salt, and baking powder together. Create a well in the center and add the warm water and olive oil.

2

Knead the Dough

Mix until the dough begins to come together, then knead on a lightly floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.

3

Rest the Dough

Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover with a towel, and let it rest for 30 minutes.

4

Roll Out the Dough

After resting, divide the dough into 4 equal parts. Roll each part into a flatbread shape, about 1/4 inch thick.

5

Cook the Flatbreads

Heat a skillet or griddle over medium-high heat and cook each flatbread for about 2-3 minutes on each side, until golden brown. Set aside.

Filling Assembly

6

Layer the Ingredients

On each cooked flatbread, spread 1 tablespoon of herb-garlic oil evenly.

7

Add the Meats

Layer the house-smoked turkey and prosciutto on top of the herb-garlic oil.

8

Add the Veggies

Top with lettuce, sliced tomato, and thinly sliced red onion.

9

Roll and Serve

Roll up the flatbreads tightly and secure with a toothpick if necessary. Cut in half and serve immediately.
