Prepare the Chicken
Season the chicken breasts with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder on both sides.

Breading Setup
Set up a breading station: Place all-purpose flour in one shallow dish, whisk together eggs and milk in another shallow dish, and place Italian breadcrumbs in a third shallow dish.

Bread the Chicken
Dredge each chicken breast in flour, shaking off excess. Dip into the egg mixture, then coat with breadcrumbs, pressing gently to adhere.

Heat the Oil
In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it's hot but not smoking.

Fry the Chicken
Carefully place breaded chicken breasts into the hot oil. Fry for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Add Tomatoes and Seasoning
Add crushed tomatoes, oregano, basil, sugar, salt, and black pepper. Simmer for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Place fried chicken breasts in a baking dish. Spoon marinara sauce over each piece, then sprinkle with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
