Method
Preparation of Cured Meats
- 1
Arrange the Meats
Take the prosciutto, salami, and capicola and arrange them artfully on a wooden board. You can fold the prosciutto into quarters and roll the salami and capicola for a visually appealing presentation.
Preparation of Cheeses
- 2
Slice the Cheeses
Cut the aged cheddar into small cubes, slice the brie into wedges, and crumble the gorgonzola. Place them next to the cured meats on the board.
Making Crostinis
- 3
Prepare the Baguette
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Slice the baguette into 1/2 inch slices. Place them on a baking sheet.
- 4
Add Olive Oil and Garlic
In a small bowl, mix the olive oil with minced garlic. Brush this mixture onto each slice of baguette.
- 5
Toast the Crostinis
Bake the baguette slices in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes or until they are golden and crispy.
Assembling the Board
- 6
Add Accompaniments
In addition to the meats and cheeses, fill small bowls with olives and mixed nuts and place them on the board. Scatter fresh grapes around for a pop of color and sweetness.
- 7
Serve
Serve the Misto Board with the toasted crostinis on the side, allowing guests to create their own combinations of meats, cheeses, and crostinis.
