Method
Preparation
- 1
Mix the Ingredients
In a large bowl, combine ground beef, ricotta cheese, bread crumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, egg, minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
- 2
Shape the Meatballs
Using your hands, shape the mixture into meatballs, about the size of a golf ball. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- 3
Cook the Meatballs
Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Bake the meatballs for 25-30 minutes or until browned and cooked through.
- 4
Prepare the Pomodoro Sauce
While the meatballs are baking, prepare the pomodoro sauce by simmering canned tomatoes, garlic, olive oil, salt, and basil in a pot for about 20 minutes.
- 5
Serve
Once the meatballs are cooked, serve them in a bowl topped with the pomodoro sauce and a dollop of ricotta cheese.
