  1. 1

    Prepare the Crust

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Crush the Oreo cookies in a food processor until fine crumbs form. In a bowl, mix the cookie crumbs with melted unsalted butter until well combined. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan to form an even layer. Bake for 10 minutes, then remove from the oven and let cool.

  2. 2

    Make the Cheesecake Filling

In a large mixing bowl, beat 4 packages (8 oz each) of cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add 1 cup of sugar and mix until well combined. Add 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract and 4 large eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Be careful not to overmix.

  3. 3

    Bake the Cheesecake

Pour the cheesecake filling over the cooled crust in the springform pan. Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until the edges are set and the center is slightly jiggly. Turn off the oven and let the cheesecake cool inside for 1 hour to prevent cracking.

  4. 4

    Chill and Serve

Remove the cheesecake from the oven and let it cool to room temperature. Once cooled, refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight. Before serving, run a knife around the edges of the pan to loosen the cheesecake and then remove the sides of the springform pan. Slice and serve.
