Chicken Cutlet

Spaghetti

Method

Preparing the Chicken Cutlet

  1. 1

    Prepare the Chicken

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Place chicken breasts between two sheets of plastic wrap and pound to an even thickness, about 1/2 inch thick.

  2. 2

    Breading Setup

Set up a breading station with three shallow bowls: one with flour mixed with salt and pepper, the second with beaten eggs, and the third with breadcrumbs.

  3. 3

    Bread the Chicken

Dip each chicken breast first in the flour, then in the egg, and finally in the breadcrumbs, ensuring each piece is fully coated.

  4. 4

    Fry the Chicken

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the breaded chicken and cook for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until golden brown. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

Assembling the Chicken Parmigiana

  1. 5

    Layer the Ingredients

In a baking dish, spread a thin layer of marinara sauce at the bottom. Place the fried chicken cutlets on top of the sauce.

  2. 6

    Add Cheese

Spoon marinara sauce over each chicken cutlet and top with equal parts mozzarella and provolone cheese.

  3. 7

    Bake

Bake in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.

Cooking the Spaghetti

  1. 8

    Boil Water

In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil.

  2. 9

    Cook Spaghetti

Add spaghetti to boiling water and cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes.

  3. 10

    Drain and Toss

Drain the spaghetti and return to the pot. Add olive oil and toss to coat.

Serving

  1. 11

    Plate the Dish

Serve the baked chicken parmigiana alongside the spaghetti. Optionally, garnish with fresh basil or parsley.
