Prepare the Meat Sauce
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion and minced garlic, sauté until translucent. Add ground beef and pork, cook until browned. Stir in house marinara sauce, season with salt, black pepper, and fresh basil. Simmer for 20 minutes.

Prepare the Lasagna Noodles
Cook lasagna noodles according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Assemble the Lasagna
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). In a baking dish, spread a layer of meat sauce, followed by a layer of noodles, a layer of mozzarella cheese, and a sprinkle of parmesan cheese. Repeat the layers, finishing with a layer of meat sauce and mozzarella on top. Drizzle the beaten egg over the top layer.

Bake the Lasagna
Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.

Let the lasagna cool for 10 minutes before slicing. Serve warm, garnished with additional fresh basil if desired.
