Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Season the rib-eye steak with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Let it sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes.

  2. 2

    Grill the Steak

Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Grill the steak for about 5-7 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness. Remove from the grill and let it rest.

  3. 3

    Sauté Onions and Peppers

In a skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat. Slice the onion and bell pepper, then add them to the skillet. Sauté until softened, about 5-7 minutes.

  4. 4

    Prepare the Bread

While the vegetables are sautéing, slice the New Orleans French bread in half lengthwise.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Sandwich

Slice the rested steak thinly. Layer the bottom half of the bread with leaf lettuce, sliced tomatoes, the grilled steak, and then top with sautéed onions and peppers. Place the top half of the bread over the filling.

  6. 6

    Serve

Cut the sandwich into portions and serve immediately. Enjoy your delicious Rib-Eye Steak Sandwich!
