Wine Ingredients

Method

Wine Preparation

  1. 1

    Harvesting the Grapes

Select fresh Riesling grapes from the vineyard. Ensure that they are ripe and free from any rot or damage. Measure out 100 grams of the grapes.

  2. 2

    Crushing the Grapes

Place the harvested grapes into a clean crushing vessel. Using a grape crusher or your hands, crush the grapes to release the juice.

  3. 3

    Mixing Ingredients

In a separate bowl, mix the crushed grape juice with 10 grams of sugar and 1 gram of citric acid. Stir well until the sugar and citric acid are fully dissolved.

  4. 4

    Diluting with Water

Add 200 ml of clean water to the mixture of grape juice, sugar, and citric acid. This will help balance the sweetness and acidity of the wine.

  5. 5

    Fermentation

Transfer the mixture into a fermentation vessel. Seal it with an airlock and store it in a cool, dark place to ferment for 1-2 weeks. Check daily for bubbles in the airlock, which indicates fermentation is active.

  6. 6

    Bottling

Once fermentation is complete, siphon the wine into clean bottles, leaving some space at the top. Seal the bottles with corks or caps.

  7. 7

    Aging

Store the bottles in a cool, dark place for at least 2 months to allow the flavors to mature before tasting.
