Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Iceberg Lettuce

Remove the outer leaves of the iceberg lettuce, then cut the head into quarters or wedges. Alternatively, chop the lettuce into bite-sized pieces, depending on your preference.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Tomatoes

Wash the tomatoes thoroughly. Slice them into wedges or chunks, depending on your preference for presentation.

Cooking the Bacon

  1. 3

    Cook the Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon slices until they are crispy. This should take about 5-7 minutes. Once cooked, transfer the bacon to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess grease.

Assembly

  1. 4

    Assemble the Salad

On a large platter or individual plates, arrange the iceberg lettuce wedges or chopped lettuce. Scatter the sliced tomatoes over the top.

  2. 5

    Add Bacon

Crumble the cooked bacon over the lettuce and tomatoes.

  3. 6

    Dress the Salad

Drizzle either the blue cheese dressing or the Russian dressing over the salad, or serve on the side for guests to choose.

  4. 7

    Serve

Serve immediately as a fresh side dish or appetizer.
