Method

Brownie Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.

  2. 2

    Melt the Butter

In a medium saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over low heat. Remove from heat and stir in the granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.

  3. 3

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.

  4. 4

    Combine Mixtures

Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined. Be careful not to overmix. Gently fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips.

  5. 5

    Bake

Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.

  6. 6

    Cool

Remove the pan from the oven and allow the brownies to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes. Then, transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Serving

  1. 7

    Serve

Once cooled, cut the brownies into squares. Serve each brownie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top or on the side.
