Boil the Pasta
In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the rest.
Making the Sauce

Prepare the Sauce
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.

Add Tomatoes
Add the halved cherry tomatoes to the skillet. Season with salt and black pepper. Cook for about 5-7 minutes until the tomatoes soften and start to burst.

Add the cooked pasta to the skillet with the tomato mixture. Toss well to combine, adding reserved pasta water a little at a time to achieve desired consistency.
- 5
Finish with Basil and Cheese
Remove from heat and stir in the fresh basil leaves and grated Parmesan cheese. Toss again to mix everything together.
