Cheese Sauce

Main Ingredients

Method

Cheese Sauce Preparation

  1. 1

    Melt the Cream Cheese

In a medium saucepan over low heat, add the cream cheese and allow it to melt slowly, stirring occasionally.

  2. 2

    Add Milk and Cheeses

Once the cream cheese has melted, gradually whisk in the milk. Then, add the sharp cheddar, Monterey Jack, Parmesan, and mozzarella cheeses, stirring continuously until the cheeses are fully melted and combined.

  3. 3

    Season the Sauce

Stir in the Cajun seasoning and mix well. Remove from heat and set aside.

Main Dish Preparation

  1. 4

    Prepare the Chicken and Sausage

Dice the chicken breast into bite-sized pieces and slice the andouille sausage. Season both with salt and black pepper.

  2. 5

    Cook the Chicken

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced chicken and cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until fully cooked and golden brown.

  3. 6

    Add the Sausage and Vegetables

Add the sliced andouille sausage to the skillet along with the diced bell pepper and onion. Sauté for an additional 5 minutes until the vegetables are tender.

  4. 7

    Combine with Jambalaya Sauce

Pour in the jambalaya sauce and stir well to combine. Allow to simmer for 3-4 minutes.

  5. 8

    Add Cheese Sauce

Pour the prepared five cheese sauce into the skillet and stir until everything is well-coated and heated through.

  6. 9

    Serve

Remove from heat and serve hot, garnished with additional Cajun seasoning if desired.
