Preparing the Salad
- 1
Wash and Prepare Romaine
Rinse the romaine lettuce under cold water to remove any dirt. Pat dry with paper towels or use a salad spinner to remove excess water. Chop the lettuce into bite-sized pieces and place it in a large salad bowl.
- 2
Add Cheese and Croutons
Sprinkle the shaved pecorino cheese and croutons over the romaine lettuce in the bowl.
Making the Caesar Dressing
- 3
Combine Ingredients
In a medium mixing bowl, add the mayonnaise, lemon juice, minced garlic, anchovy paste, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.
- 4
Season the Dressing
Add black pepper and salt to taste, stirring to incorporate. Adjust seasoning according to your preference.
Assembling the Salad
- 5
Dress the Salad
Drizzle the homemade Caesar dressing over the prepared romaine, cheese, and croutons in the salad bowl.
- 6
Toss and Serve
Gently toss the salad with tongs to ensure the dressing evenly coats the ingredients. Serve immediately.
