Coffee Preparation
- 1
Brew the Espresso
Start by heating the water to around 90-95 degrees Celsius. In an espresso machine or stovetop espresso maker, add the espresso coffee grounds to the portafilter. Tamp the grounds down firmly, then attach the portafilter to the machine or stovetop maker.
- 2
Sweeten the Espresso
Once the espresso is brewed, pour it into a small cup. Add the pure cane sugar to the hot espresso and stir until fully dissolved.
Milk Preparation
- 3
Steam the Milk
In a small saucepan or using a steaming wand, heat the milk until it is steaming but not boiling. If using a saucepan, whisk the milk continuously to create froth.
