Burger Patty

Toppings

Method

Preparing the Patty

  1. 1

    Form the Patties

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix gently until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat. Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape each portion into a patty about ¾ inch thick.

  2. 2

    Cook the Patties

Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, place the patties on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side. Flip the patties and cook for an additional 4-5 minutes for medium doneness. Adjust the cooking time based on your desired doneness.

Assembling the Burger

  1. 3

    Prepare the Buns

While the patties are cooking, slice the burger buns in half. Toast them lightly on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

  2. 4

    Slice the Tomato

Wash and slice the tomato into thin slices.

  3. 5

    Assemble the Burger

On the bottom half of each toasted bun, place a lettuce leaf, followed by the cooked beef patty. Top with tomato slices, pickles, and any condiments such as ketchup and mustard. Place the top half of the bun on each burger.
