Quail Eggs

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Water

In a medium saucepan, bring 500 ml of water to a gentle boil over medium heat.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Quail Eggs

Carefully add the quail eggs to the boiling water. Use a slotted spoon to lower them in gently to avoid cracking.

  3. 3

    Boil the Eggs

Boil the quail eggs for 4 minutes for a soft-boiled texture or 5 minutes for a firmer yolk.

  4. 4

    Cool the Eggs

Once the eggs are boiled to your desired doneness, remove them from the boiling water and place them in an ice bath (a bowl filled with ice and water) for 5 minutes to stop the cooking process.

  5. 5

    Peel the Eggs

Gently tap the quail eggs on a hard surface to crack the shell, then carefully peel off the shell under running water for easier removal.

  6. 6

    Season

Sprinkle a pinch of salt over the peeled quail eggs before serving.
