Sake Selection

Accompaniments

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Select Your Sake

Choose one bottle each of Junmai, Ginjo, Daiginjo, and Nigori sake. These varieties will offer a range of flavors and aromas for sampling.

  2. 2

    Chill the Sake

Place the selected sake bottles in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour to chill before serving.

  3. 3

    Prepare Accompaniments

In a serving platter, arrange the edamame, sushi rolls, pickled ginger, and wasabi. Ensure that the wasabi is easily accessible for guests.

Serving

  1. 4

    Pour the Sake

Once chilled, pour each type of sake into small tasting glasses, filling each glass about 1/3 full to allow for sampling.

  2. 5

    Sample and Enjoy

Encourage guests to taste each type of sake, starting with the lighter varieties and moving to the richer flavors. Sip the sake and cleanse the palate with edamame, sushi rolls, pickled ginger, and wasabi as desired.

  3. 6

    Celebrate

Raise your glasses and toast to good fortune while enjoying the sake and snacks together!
