Method

Pork Belly Preparation

  1. 1

    Marinate the Pork

In a bowl, combine soy sauce, mirin, brown sugar, minced garlic, and sliced ginger. Add the pork belly and ensure it's fully coated. Marinate for at least 30 minutes.

  2. 2

    Cook the Pork

Preheat your oven to 150°C (300°F). Place the marinated pork belly in a baking dish and cover with foil. Bake for 2 hours or until tender. Remove from the oven and let it rest before slicing.

Broth Preparation

  1. 3

    Prepare the Broth

In a large pot, combine chicken broth, water, soy sauce, and miso paste. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring until the miso is dissolved. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Noodles Preparation

  1. 4

    Cook the Noodles

Bring a pot of water to a boil. Add the ramen noodles and cook according to package instructions (usually around 3-5 minutes). Drain and set aside.

Assembly

  1. 5

    Assemble the Ramen

In serving bowls, place a portion of cooked noodles. Pour the hot broth over the noodles. Top with sliced pork belly, soft-boiled eggs, chopped green onions, bamboo shoots, corn kernels, and nori sheets.

  2. 6

    Serve

Garnish with additional green onions if desired and serve hot. Enjoy your homemade ramen!
