Begin by boiling 1 cup of fresh, filtered water in a kettle. Ensure that the water reaches a temperature of approximately 175°F (80°C), as this is ideal for green tea.

Measure Tea Leaves
While the water is boiling, measure out 2 teaspoons of Japanese green tea leaves and place them in a tea infuser or directly into a teapot.

After steeping, if you used loose tea leaves, strain the tea into a cup. If you used an infuser, simply remove it. Your green tea is ready to enjoy.
