Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Scallops

Rinse the fresh scallops under cold water and pat them dry with a paper towel. Make sure they are completely dry for even cooking.

  2. 2

    Chop the Garlic and Parsley

Finely chop the garlic cloves and parsley. Set aside for later use.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Heat the Butter

In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat until it starts to bubble.

  2. 4

    Sauté the Garlic

Add the chopped garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 1 minute, or until fragrant. Be careful not to burn the garlic.

  3. 5

    Cook the Scallops

Place the scallops in the skillet, making sure they are not overcrowded. Cook for 2-3 minutes on one side until they are golden brown, then flip them over.

  4. 6

    Season and Add Lemon Juice

Season the scallops with salt and black pepper. After flipping, drizzle 2 tablespoons of lemon juice over them. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until they are opaque and tender.

  5. 7

    Garnish with Parsley

Once cooked, remove the scallops from the skillet and sprinkle with chopped parsley.

Serving

  1. 8

    Plate the Dish

Serve the scallops hot on a plate. Optionally, garnish with lemon wedges and microgreens for added flavor and presentation.
