Beverage Preparation

  1. 1

    Brew Espresso

Brew 2 shots of espresso using your preferred method (espresso machine, AeroPress, etc.) and set aside.

  2. 2

    Heat and Froth Milk

In a small saucepan, heat 1 cup of milk over medium heat until steaming but not boiling. Use a milk frother or whisk to froth the milk until it has a light, airy texture.

  3. 3

    Mix Ingredients

In a large mug, combine the brewed espresso, 2 tablespoons of maple syrup, 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Stir well to combine.

  4. 4

    Add Frothed Milk

Pour the frothed milk into the mug with the espresso mixture, holding back the foam with a spoon to allow the liquid milk to pour in first. Gently spoon the foam on top.

Cold Foam Preparation

  1. 5

    Prepare Cold Foam

In a separate container, combine 1 cup of milk, 1 tablespoon of maple syrup, 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Use a frother to whip the mixture until it becomes thick and foamy.

  2. 6

    Add Cold Foam

Spoon the prepared cold foam on top of the latte, creating a nice layer of foam for added texture and flavor.
