Cheesecake Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Crust
Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C). In a mixing bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, granulated sugar, melted butter, and salt until well mixed. Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan to form an even layer. Bake for about 10 minutes, then remove from the oven and let cool.
- 2
Make the Filling
In a large mixing bowl, beat together 4 packages (8 oz each) of softened cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add in 1 cup of granulated sugar and mix until combined. Add in 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract and mix well. Beat in 4 large eggs, one at a time, mixing on low speed to prevent air bubbles.
- 3
Combine and Bake
Pour the cream cheese mixture over the cooled crust in the springform pan. Bake in the preheated oven for 60-70 minutes, or until the center is set but still slightly jiggly. Turn off the oven and leave the cheesecake in the oven for an additional hour to cool slowly.
- 4
Chill and Serve
Once cooled, refrigerate the cheesecake for at least 4 hours or overnight. Remove from the springform pan, slice, and serve plain or with your favorite toppings like fresh fruit or whipped cream.
