Chicken Marsala Ingredients

Method

Cooking Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Chicken

Season the chicken breasts with salt and black pepper. Dredge them in all-purpose flour, shaking off the excess.

  2. 2

    Sauté the Chicken

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter over medium-high heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook until golden brown on both sides, about 5-7 minutes per side. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

  3. 3

    Cook the Mushrooms

In the same skillet, add the remaining butter and sliced mushrooms. Sauté until the mushrooms are browned and tender, about 5 minutes.

  4. 4

    Make the Sauce

Pour in the Marsala wine and bring to a simmer, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet. Add the chicken broth and cook for another 5 minutes.

  5. 5

    Combine and Finish

Return the chicken to the skillet, cover, and simmer for 10 minutes, until the chicken is cooked through. Stir in the chopped parsley before serving.
