1. Prepare the Ribs
Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C). Rinse the pork ribs under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.
2. Apply the Rub
In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, salt, and cayenne pepper. Rub the olive oil over the ribs, then generously coat them with the spice mixture on both sides.
3. Slow Cook the Ribs
Place the ribs on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil, meat side up. Cover with another sheet of aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for about 2.5 to 3 hours, or until the meat is tender.
4. Add BBQ Sauce (optional)
If using BBQ sauce, remove the foil during the last 30 minutes of cooking, brush the ribs with BBQ sauce, and return to the oven uncovered.
5. Serve
Remove the ribs from the oven, let them rest for a few minutes, and slice into finger-sized pieces. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired and serve hot.
